Schwab's community was able to help them learn how to be more relevant to Gen Xers in their marketing messages, using less financial jargon and really meet this customer where they are in their lives. With the community’s help, they created a new high yield checking account product specifically for GenXers which also just so happens to have a FREE brokerage account with Schwab attached to it so when they are ready to move forward in their financial life, Schwab will already be there, and have built a relationship with them.

The resulting changes to Schwab’s marketing and targeted new products hit the mark with Gen X–resulting in a 56% increase in their Gen X customer base versus year ago.
